We wanted to tell you all about our exciting news – FRANKENWEENIE POSTERS ARE IN!
Phew. Sorry for shouting.
Tim Burton has been entertaining us at least for years- from The Nightmare Before Christmas to The Corpse Bride and so much more from his non animated series- Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd.
Burton is known for his irreverent comedy horror look at films, using the macabre and often gothic, victorian elements to provide a level of familiarity with his films.
Characters are typically decorated in animation, or indeed in makeup with scars, black hair, widened eyes and tattered clothes.
Names are traditional and archaic- Victor, in Frankenweenie, for example, as the main protagonist.
His method of story telling is very fairy tale like, and visually he achieves a level of beauty in the dark and gloomy juxtaposed against the pale of an English rose skin, the snow, and the touches of white and bright.
We can’t wait for Frankenweenie to be in cinemas – it’s release date is October 5th 2012.
