Their debut single “Beat Again” was released in the UK on 13 July 2009, and went to number-one in the UK Singles Chart on 19 July 2009, selling over 100,000 copies in its first week of release. JLS are only the second non-winning act of The X Factor to achieve a number-one single, after second series contestant Chico Slimani. The band have confirmed that their second single will be “Everybody in Love” and will be released on 2 November 2009 followed by their debut album one week later.
