Adam Joseph Copeland (born October 30, 1973) is a Canadian professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Edge. He is currently signed to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) promotion, formerly the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), on its SmackDown brand, but is currently inactive due to an injury. Copeland experienced success as a singles wrestler and is a nine-time world champion, having held the WWE Championship four times and World Heavyweight Championship five times, a five-time Intercontinental Champion, and has held the WCW United States Championship once. In addition to his championship accolades, Copeland won the 2001 King of the Ring tournament and the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match in 2005.
