The Breakfast Club

“Don’t You, Forget About Me”

The Breakfast Club has been a cult-coming of age classic since its release back in 1985. In follows five very different high school students during a all-day Saturday detention. The five main characters; John Bender, Andrew Clark, Claire Standish, Allison Reynolds, and Brian Johnson, are all members of very different cliques at school, but all bond in the detention when they realise, they all have their own private struggles going on.

The film received critical acclaim when it was released, despite the shoe-string budget it was made with. In 2016, the film was selected for preservation in the United States as being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.
